What makes Chiswick special?

What makes Chiswick Woollahra different from other Woollahra restaurants?

Chiswick is Matt Moran's neighbourhood restaurant at 65 Ocean Street, Woollahra, set in the park. The menu follows what's growing and what's in season, the food is simple and generous, and it's relaxed enough for a Tuesday lunch and special enough for a milestone.

A few things locals come back for:

A park setting. Eat, drink and celebrate with the park around you. Vows and canapés happen on the lawn.
Seasonal by rule. Matt and the kitchen team build the menu around what's growing. If it's out of season, it's not on the menu.
The Moran family lamb. Sustainably sourced from Matt's fourth generation farm in the Central Tablelands, and on the menu since the day Chiswick opened.
Woodfire cooking. Simple food, generous plates and honest flavours.
A wine list worth exploring. Sustainable wines from Australian and international producers, plus a BYO night every Monday and Tuesday.

How do I get to Chiswick by train?

The nearest train station is Edgecliff, about a 15 minute walk from Chiswick. Come in for a long lunch or a glass without needing a car.

Is there parking near Chiswick?

Yes. There's free street parking around Chiswick, so you can settle in and take your time. There's no designated accessible parking, so if you need a particular spot, call us on 02 8388 8688 and we'll help.

What are Chiswick's opening hours?

Chiswick is open Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 11pm, and Sunday from 12pm to 10pm. The kitchen serves lunch and dinner Monday to Friday (12pm to 3pm and 5pm to 9pm), all day Saturday from 12pm to 9pm, and Sunday from 12pm to 8.30pm. We're closed on Christmas Day.

Where should I go for dinner in Woollahra?

Chiswick is a Woollahra favourite for dinner. Matt Moran's kitchen cooks modern Australian food built on seasonal produce, with simple, generous plates and a park setting that makes an ordinary night feel a bit special. Dinner is served Monday to Friday from 5pm to 9pm, Saturday until 9pm and Sunday until 8.30pm. Book a table online or call 02 8388 8688.

Where can I go for a long lunch in Woollahra?

Come in to Chiswick at 12pm any day of the week and take your time. Lunch is served Monday to Friday from 12pm to 3pm, all day Saturday and Sunday, with seasonal plates, woodfire cooking and a wine list worth exploring. Gather a few friends, order for the table and let the afternoon run long.

What kind of food does Chiswick serve?

Chiswick serves modern Australian food from Matt Moran's kitchen: simple food, generous plates and honest flavours, with a menu that changes as the seasons do. Signature dishes include the Moran family lamb, and the menu runs from shared plates and mains to desserts, cocktails and a kids menu. Groups can ask about our group menu.

Do I need to book a table at Chiswick?

You can book a table online through the Book a Table button, or call us on 02 8388 8688. For groups of 8 or more, we'll ask for a credit card to secure the booking.

Can I bring my own wine to Chiswick?

Yes, every Monday and Tuesday. BYO runs all day for $25 corkage per bottle, capped at one 750ml bottle per person. Show a Jim's Cellars receipt or a Chiswick x Jim's sticker on the bottle and corkage is free. Jim's Cellars is at 41 Ocean Street, Woollahra, just along Ocean Street. Book a table so we can look after you.

Are kids welcome at Chiswick?

Yes, children are welcome, and we have a kids menu. If you have specific requirements, mention them when you book and we'll make sure everyone's looked after.

What's the dress code?

There's a semi private dining space for up to 10, a private dining room for up to 40 guests, a main dining room for up to 76 seated or cocktail style, and exclusive use of the whole venue for up to 116. Is Chiswick a good venue for a small or intimate wedding?

Yes. Chiswick is an intimate venue in Woollahra, with the park as your backdrop, a private dining room that seats up to 40, and the option to hire the whole venue for larger celebrations. Ask for our wedding pack to see spaces, menus and dates.

Can I host a corporate lunch or dinner at Chiswick?

Yes. Chiswick hosts team lunches, client dinners, product launches and EOFY celebrations in its private dining room, main dining room or as a full venue hire, for groups of 10 to 116. Generous food, easy service and a park setting make it a relaxed alternative to a hotel function room.

Can I book a birthday or engagement party at Chiswick?

Yes. Birthday and engagement parties work well in the private dining room for up to 40, or in the main dining room for up to 76. Tell us your date and guest count, and we'll look after the rest. You can also order a handmade celebration cake from our cake menu.

Can I book a Christmas party at Chiswick?

Yes. From relaxed team lunches and end of year dinners to Christmas parties with friends and family, Chiswick hosts groups of 10 to 116 guests, with options across the restaurant to suit your plans. Book early for December, we're closed on Christmas Day.

Is Chiswick wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The whole venue at Chiswick, including the bathrooms, is accessible. There's no designated accessible parking, so call 02 8388 8688 before you visit if you'd like us to help plan your arrival.

Can I bring my dog to Chiswick?

Pets aren't accommodated at Chiswick. Support animals are always welcome.

Can I order a celebration cake?

Yes. Handmade celebration cakes are available from our cake menu, so you can add something sweet to a birthday, engagement or anniversary at Chiswick.

What are the terms for group bookings?

For groups, we confirm your booking once a valid credit card is recorded. Cancellations or no shows within 24 hours of the reservation, for groups of 8 or more, are charged at $95 per person. A 10% gratuity applies to all group reservations.
